Final 3L engine bay & brake upgrade pics.

For a while I was thinking "man thats gonna be alot of yellow under the hood". But now together, in the car its looks great. And all you need to do is pop your hood to promote your business. Im trying to think of anything I need powdercoated while Im doing my 3L swap. Hmmm...valve covers, UIM...

Looks extemely nice except for that cheap generic air filter. I really hope thats a show piece and you have a quality cone on there when its driven to actually keep dirt out of the engine.

Actually that is my daily "cone" - bought it awhile ago, maybe time to upgrade

Did you convert it to OBD 2?

No converting to OBD2 - Like mosh has stated in another thread, OBD1 doesn't sniff around as much as OBD2 so it is easier to swap somthing like this without throwing codes. BUT OBD2 is far superior for tunablilty, which is my next step. I will be switching my '95 LIM, injectors, and fuel rail to a '98 SVT LIM, fuel rail, and injectors. I just need to convert the svt LIM to vaccum operated and get the fitment of the fuel rails correct. The car is running full rich on WOT because the computer is in fail/safe mode because it knows it would run lean otherwise.
It mooses like a motha, but that I am fixing today ;)

all the yellow in the engine bay is a bit much for me.

Now that it is all together I don't think there is that much yellow at all. Just enogh to compliment the purple and make you look hard at what is yellow. To each his own, but me likey lots.

Taking the time and coating/painting everything was definetly worth it. The motor looks like a jewel sitting in the purple velvet box in the jewelry store . I'd buy it :)

Car looks AMAZING!

But I do have to point out one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb...your fuse box lid. It would look awesome if it were painted like the Coolant tank.

^ Already in the works  - Just pulled that cover from my parts car and it will too be painted.........

paint the letter on the baer calipers in yellow. That is the only thing I would change. Just looks a little off lie that, more attention is being drwan to the bracket than the caliper. Car and all looks great though man!

You and your air filters

Joe, definitely one of the top 5 on CEG, man. That car is freaking awesome-looking, on the outside AND under the hood. Superb work.

paint the letter on the baer calipers in yellow.

^^ also on the list for SZ  You guys are funny!. That was my original plan because I thought the entire caliper body yellow would be waaaay to much so I was going more subtle with the yellow bracket and the eggplant body with yellow writing. It will be super duper!

looks great joe! i went home to buffalo to get the black svt running. i pulled out the old injector harness and compared it to the new one that an FCO member sold me. TOTALLY different! what a waste of time and gas!!!!

Looks sweet as heck. I'm amazed you have that skill level since you can't discern the difference between Manitowoc and Milwaukee. LMAO!

Oh :censored::censored::censored::censored:, making a mountain out of a mole..... :nonono: Atleast I got there in time :ponder:, just in time .

It does, besides the damn moose.... oh well. I did my first two-wheel-peel yesterday testing out the torsen and really started to get on it. I burned through first sooooooooo fast and had to shift to second and peeled through like 1/2 that gear too not really even trying to....... this thing hauls ass!
I would struggle to get a good one-wheel-peel in my stock 2.5L putting down my fierce 133hp to the wheels .

Yeah but you will really feel the Torsen when in corners, you arent feeling like you are pushing the car through anymore, it pulls you through, I still love taking corners in my cars.
