F'in rotors wont come the F'k OFF!

Call me in 2 months when you need to replace the bearings you destroyed with that BFH.

The BEST way to remove frozen junk rotors is this:

Take a die grinder with a cut off wheel and cut completely through and down on side of the rotor until you get to the hub area. Then CAREFULLY continue to cut through the mounting "hat" are of the rotor till you get as close as you can to the wheel mounting pilot of the hub. Then take a cold chisel, insert it into the slot you cut, at the edge of the rotor and hit it a few times with a hammer (you don't have to beat the bejesus out of it) - it will crack the rotor all the way through the other side and then you can just take it off.
Saves the wheel bearings and a lot of BS in the process.

Always got to everything the safe way.....boring!

if you have the caliper off you can always go the VW route and insert screws in the other holes of the rotor... it will loosen the rotor as you screw them in and push it off the hub.

If you don't have a torch, use the small propane (butane?) bottle & torch tip from your local Lowe's or Home Depot. I think they run $10-$15.
I use them for this crap all the time.

what about taking both front wheels off...
lowering the car back down to the ground so its resting on the rotors..
then turn the wheel back and forth.
i bet that would help them pop off!

:D

its mostly likely rusted together. Most anything will come apart with heat, not too much heat though. Try pentron, i get it free from a refinery and it works alot better then wd-40, but smellier.

hmm

hmm

haha yes i removed the calipers!

anyways i borrowed (with no intention of returning) a small propane torch from work and heated it up enough to get it loose but still took a lot of pounding from the sledge hammer ( a new one , aka problem solver) and i had to pop the studs out because the rotor wouldn't slide off with them on. A couple studs looked to be warped prolly from the car being beaten on.. but it all comes back to the design.. u don't use 4 lugs on a performance car!

Now my abs lights are on .. brake sensors for the pads maybe? i didn't think i needed to replace them.. keep in mind i didnt touch the rears yet only the fronts.

if you are referring to wear sensors on the pads, you are mislead.
Contours dont have them.
if your abs light is on, you most likely damaged one or both of the abs sensors in your attempt to remove the rotors.
