Factory motorcraft battery weight?

I just had a quick question. I'm wondering how much the factory motorcraft battery weighs.

I'm somewhat surprised that the optima is heavier.

there are a number, check out Pole120's free svt build thread in WGL and in the last few posts they where talking about different, lighter batteries

ehhh its alrite i like the spinning wheels makes more work for me :drool: i was going to put it in the trunk in a little battery box, my real plan is a little weight reduction and a little more power and ill be set

For lighter weight... use one of those batteries out of a Neon or Civic or whatever. Those things are TINY.

I'd try and find a tray and just use some sort of metal strap as a hold down.

How many CCAs does that battery have? It looks like its in the 300s :help:

Nevermind, in one picture I see 380... That's pretty low. I'd like to see that start your car in the winter.

josh, pole120 is using a pc680 which is smaller and only puts out 220 cca, and it starts his svt in 30 degree weather, now does that include frigid winter days....probably not
