Exhaust design

You arent gaining gobs of power with exhaust, so a resonator in there wont kill all that much, maybe 1 hp at most. (correct that if you guys would like) Mainly, it should just quiet it down and make it so your dash doesnt vibrate when on the throttle like mine.

glad the numbers haven't changed haha

yea, if the MTX on an svt is that much i couldn't see an atx being less than like 23%

granted with lighter flywheel, clutch, axles, etc. might bring the numbers down a little. granted most people that would do that don't have an engine and chassis dyno ready to test on haha

I measure power with my right foot:shrug:

yea, butt dyno's are rarely accurate unless it's a somewhat significant mod. some people are just retarded like, "i just change my air filter and now the car pulls so much harder and has way more top end" these are the people i want to smack, hard.

Im running a turbo muffler with no resonator and its not too loud. The muffler is in the resonators place with straight pipe in the muffler place.

I say go for it. Dont bother with a resonator.

I was hoping someone had a turbo muffler. Could you post up a sound clip??:help:

gimme a sec

well then, i stand corrected, however if i were baller enough i'd have the engine and chassis dyno ready to roll.
you can do whats called a "Negative Horsepower" run. the graph will display power transmitted to the wheels and parasitic loss.

Striker, You're a big deal. People know you...right?

You should know what I'm doing here. What kind of gains should I expect with a resonator/turbo muffler setup. How bout a no res/turbo muffler setup? Both with cats

Meh. I'll prolly get 2-3 mpg. That's my main goal:shrug:
Thanks!
i wish i had a stock dyno plot so i could compare stock numbers to my modified ones. i would say, if your keeping the stock cat, then probably between 5 and 10 HP. an intake should gain you about the same or a little better.

i didnt notice any MPG increase but i suspect its cause i drove the piss out of it. :D:D

I can't do that. I hate the smell of burnt ATF, and the look of a transmission sitting on the ground:laugh: .

Any wothwhile yet cheap hi-flow cats out there?

ive honestly never looked into replacement CATs cause i live in a state where emissions dont matter. :D:D:D

i guess since i posted a video of my exhaust before the turbo ill add these. they are 2 short runs from shortly after i got it tuned. while it is from inside the car you can get a decent idea of what it sounds like with nothing but a turbo and 2.5" exhaust.:D
