EGL ski/snowboarding meet?

That basically happened to me out west. It was a really long chair lift and I unbuckled the lower strap on my backpack to get at something...well I buckled it back up but not before accidentally wrapping the strap around a hard point on the chair lift. Came time to get off and I was literally buckled into the chair lift.

It was damn funny! :laugh::blackeye:
 
yeah, i've made the trip back down on the chairlift. we crammed 4 people on a 3 man lift. i was the only person with any snowboarding experience. we got to the top and all three girls fell over right in front of me. instead of running them all over, i just stood there completely forgetting there was a moving chairlift behind me. it nailed me in the legs and sat me right back down onto it. had to go all the way down and all the way back up to meet up with them :(

Anyway I get back in the country January 1st. Im trying to set up some time to get a :censored::censored::censored::censored:load of people to head up to nubs. What weekends after january 1st work for people

I was thinking leave on a friday afternoon head up there, and come back sunday afternoon.

I have never skied Nubs. However, I am skeptical of any resort claiming to have 'peaks' in Michigan. 3 of them no less.

How does it compare to Boyne Mt. / Highlands or Crystal?
 
I loved boyne. I've heard from friends that nubs is better, if people want to do highlands instead that's cool.
 
i'll head out there if i can hitch a ride with one of you. it would be pretty cool to have ceg take over the mtn.
