Earliest Build Date CSVT

I've got # 231 (E0) but I have no idea where by build date is written down. Is it on the door sticker or something?

Austin

Cool. I will take a look when I get home. I know there are at least a couple of guys with lower build numbers than me, but it will be interesting to see what my date is.

Of coarse they were banging them out for the EO's,they would have built all 6000+ of them in just a few months. The 2000 models are going to be much further apart there are only 2150 of them.I the middle of the 99 model year production they changed the waterpump. The early ones (prone the failure) have a black plasric impeller. The later ones (more durable have) have a white plastic impeller.

My 2000 #332 was built 11/14/99,when were your's built?

The heck, SVT told me the 576 was built on 11/24/99, and 564 was on the 14th. Somethings not right here. Unless SVT told me the wrong dates. But both cars have 11/99 on the stickers.

I really do love my build number.440

I normally put a fresh set of numbers on my bumber every year. He always seems to point out that he had 440 in his old baracuda. Poor guy...i know he hates that he sold it.

I have #240 built on 4/12/97 (IIRC) from the OASIS printout.

I replace my water pump at about 80,000 miles as preventive maintenance. It had the white impeller so it already had the improved better impeller. It also had a loose baffle plate. I don't know when that issue was resolved. I replaced it with a factory pump assembly and it lasted until about 235,000 miles when the front seal started to leak.

Build numbers started over with each model year. E0 and E1 ran together as they were both the 98 model year.

I don't believe the E0 had any more problems than the later years, and the later years were decontented a little each new iteration. Also, I prefer T-Red with Midnight Blue interior to T-Red with Saddle Tan interior.

It is wierd how fast these were going out the door at times. Was the SVT contour a car that had to be ordered or did they have them on the dealer lots for all to see?
