E0 or E1 ?

Curious, what do your "ding guards" look like?
These? (98) They are raised and have an indent on the rear door.

OR these? (98 1/2 +) they are flat:

No, the top car is not mine. I took some shots of an SVT at a crappy sales lot, was thinking of buying it for a project. I happened to get a decent shot of the ding guards so I used that photo.

on the antennas my daily driver #246 has a chrome base, and my parts car #1991 has a plain black base. and only produced like 3 months apart. so they must have quit with the chrome antenna quick.

Whoa you have #1991 My first SVT was #1992
My 98.5 has the raised ding strips as well

hahah no. That's why E0's don't have warped dash's. They have the extra plastic piece by the windshield and the better glue used.

mine has some warpage just above the cluster,, but i think i can fix it on a good and hot day

Yes, I know the difference. But any E1's I've seen had the same dash. I've yet to see an E1 with the 99/00 dash.

So 98, 99, and 2000 are all E0, and only 98.5 is E1??? I never knew that the E0/E1 designation was a CEG thing. What, specifically, are the differences between the two? I always assumed it was mainly the wheels and maybe a few minor things.

Errrr no. Only 98's are E0. 98.5 had a handful of changes hence the E1 designation. The same changes lasted until production ended in 00.
