I was just told about this crash tonight and I thought I'd put it up here. I guess his Dad was the owner/operator of the imfamous "Dyno Daves" that didn't take care of Jim and Scott Hahn and their premo ride that we all knew and loved and this is his son's ride. I will say that he's doing ok and got away with a couple scratches and bruises according to my ex-boss who told me about it:eek: Un-related to the video, Ubly Dragway is sceduled to close forever, unless someone buys it, in 2 weeks:cry:   I had some very good memories there and if it does close and never opens again, I can this, some of the best times I've had behind the wheel of a car happened right there, in the heart of the thumb...UBLY DRAGWAY! For the record, the best pass I made there, was in my old car after my ex-boss bought the car from me and it was a 12.38@107mph and in my own car I bested a 12.56@109 mph in my 87' GN.

BTW, his pass before the accident was 9.0 something at 152 mph w/175 shot of NOS!

Hooray spectator emergency crew! :nonono: 30 people at the car 1 fire extinguisher.

This is one of the reasons why my ex-boss isn't going to race there again, and he's been going there for over 15 years now. He said the guardrails need to be upgraded as well because the accident didn't have to be that bad had they'd been upgraded. This is a "backyard track" for sure as its out in the middle of the country, but one that had/has a family feel to it and either way you look at it, it sucks:nonono:

As far as buying the track goes, I'm thinking someone may step up and take it over as its been discussed, but here in Michigan, who's got the extra money laying around:shrug:
