Ok im having a little problem getting the drivers window to go down. Here are the things ive noticed. It stopped working about 3 months ago, the relay seems to make a little click when the drivers window switch is pushed, but there is no noise when the other windows ( which work ) switch is pushed. I took a hammer and hit the window motor but that didn't seem to do anything, the window motor does get hot after testing the switch for awhile. I did check the connections everything looked good as far as i could see. Any info would be helpful. Does it seem like the motor is bad????? thanks the window is stuck in the up position

:help: they made hammers for hitting nails into wood. not for fixing window motors. first things first. your problem isnt a relay if the other windows work. the relay will always click when you turn it on. thats how relays work. chances are, its a bad motor. thats what i'm leaning to after reading your description of the problem. i have an extra one if you want it.

My window wouldnt go down for a few months, but since it was late fall I didn't mind and one day, just like magic it started working again. Figures it was right when I went to buy a new motor!

Are any special tools needed to get the door panel off? I have a bad passenger window that needs work/replacement  . Thanks.
