So long as you have 3mm of space between the caliper and the wheel, you won't have any problems. At 2mm your cutting it close if your car sees heavy breaking and cornering with super sticky tires. Beleive it or not, there's a little bit of flex in the wheel and brakes. But even 2mm will work out on most street cars. You can use clay to measure the distance between the brake caliper an the wheel. In the worst case scenario, a 2mm spacer will be needed.
