I have a 95 Ford Contour 4 Cyl, that cranks and no start.
I am concentrating on the Cam and Crankshaft sensors now.
Do both of them generate a voltage when cranking a no starter?
Not getting any Voltage from the Camshaft sensor on cranking, thats the sensor that is on the top of the engine towaards the back on top on drivers side, two wires held on, with wire clip, right?
What I see when hooking up a digital meter is:
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Resistance .40 on 20k scale
.397 on 2K scale
Then turning over .9 volts on 200 volt scale
Camshaft Postion Sensor
.46 resistance on 20k scale?
nothing on AC volts when cranking <-- is this OK?
I also noticed the connection to the Camshaft Sensor was moist/wet, when I disconnected it. Dried it off.
