Hey

Ok, I have been online for like an hour now looking for a Distributor Cap for my 99 SVT and I cant find a single site that sells them?

Anyone know where I can get one, or does another one fit or will work?

Thanks,
Keith

Really, sorry about my ignorance, I dont know alot about cars but I thought I just read online that it does, ok, thanks for the info.
Keith

Ok another stupid question, how long does the coil wraps last, I'm not sure when the last time mine was changed?

Thanks
Keith

Stop being told, by whoever is telling you.

:D

Coilpacks are good until you have reason to believe (and have TESTED to prove) otherwise.

Try starting over, here.

Post your PROBLEM, symptoms, rpms it happens at, noises, etc along with mileage and recent modifications or maintenance done (or ignored)

Ok,
My km's are getting really high (292,000) and I just want to do an over all tune up on my 99 SVT. I was going to replace ignition wires, plugs, etc. Any suggestions. Thanks.

The coil pack is good until it fails, as far as a good tune up goes, do spark plugs, wireset, fuel filter, air filter, and clean the Mass air flow sensor with some automotive electrical cleaner. That should have you running tip top.

You could also give the intake a good cleaning - see the how-tos for a good guide. I'd suggest the cleaning that doesn't involve reomving the uim.

There was a guy I worked with a few years ago that had a Corvair and was selling it. I made him an offer and he did nothing with it. A few months later he sold it for $300 and I offered him $1000. idiot

Coil packs are $55 at my local parts store. I have 165,000 on my original. But like everyone else said post your problem and we can try to help.
