Differnce in Clear coats?

Is there a difference in the house brand spray can clear coat you get from walmart for a buck versus the Krylon clear coat for a few bucks more? How about the Automotive clear coat by Duplicolor for even more money?

Or Am I just paying more for the name?

All the clearcoats in a can are about the same quality compared to real automotive clearcoat. That being said, dont expect the clearcoat in a can to withstand much abuse from the weather, road debris, etc. It chips extremely easy.

Thanks for that excellent answer! I assumed the factory clear coats were superior, I'm just glad to know to know I don't have to spend 5 bux for a tiny can of clear coat with the duplicolor name, when i can get a huge honkin can of the walmart house brand for like 88 cents.

I have to touch up my bottom bumper area near the air deflector.
