Did all 99 Contours have keyless entry?

I just bought a Zetec ATX contour SE. It has power locks, windows and such but the seller had no remote, he was the second owner and did not know if it was equipped for it. Was my car package equipped for them? If so I will buy a couple on EBAY and program them.

no, it was an option .... get under and behind the glove box and look for the control unit ... it is next to the pcm ...

In fact, more often than not, Contours did not have keyless entry. Particularly 98+ Zetec ATX since they were mostly designed for fleet sales.

You may see a white plug with a yellow insert taped up by the corner of the passenger side rug and kickpanel. If so, you have it.
