Surprise, surprise Monica Conyers took bribes. Sadly, nothing will come of this as we've already seen Kwame shake off his conviction and end up in a 5600 sqft mansion in TX.

Monica's husband will sheild her from any jail time or retibution, just like he dodged conviction himself.

And to add; the FBI is absoltely f@$king useless and will not do a god-dammed thing about this as their strings are pulled by those in congress (see above).

I wish someone would just blow up the concil building and take all of it's crooked, corrupt, inept inhabitants with it!

If only a military coup were a possibility to oust the council, and imprison (for 5 years - with no possibility parole whatsoever) the offenders.

I bet there's be a REALLY quick shape up by all those d-bags down there.

The fg@$ken Obama brown nosers who are blind to the socialization of every big business and institution will just vote in another Democrat - funnily enough change is something they DON'T want for Michigan.

I have no more faith in people, as common sense is not common at all. When people vote for the same inept politicians over and over thinking that they will magically change overnight, compared to their track record, it just goes to show you that people can not assess the facts for themselves. Detroit will NEVER come back, NEVER!

Coleman Young enacted "operation Scorched Earth" on Detroit and the cancer is spreading into the suburbs.

Stazi, I've never met you, but I think that we would get along GREAT!

BTW, what do you think about the fact that when gas/oil prices soared, everybody said G.W. was in bed with oil companies, yet here now with Barry, we've had 50 straight days of...wait for it...rising gas prices? Hmmmmm, gas has gone up almost a buck since I went back to Texas 2.5 months ago, or 60%.

isn't it Democrat based programs that are "saving" Detroit and other poor areas??? Courtesy of President Johnson and a little from FDR. when is it going to start working? LOL hmmm maybe never.... I hope Detroit recovers along with the rest of the big cities in this state but I don't see happening unless there is drastic change... you know the kind that is hard and painful and doesn't get politicians re-elected
 
The skid is pushing out fast. I grew up in Farmington Hills and remember when it used to be nice. I moved out here to Milf to get farther away, but I've been thinking that I still didn't move far enough. The current housing market is allowing trashy people (disclaimer: of all races) to afford some homes in the burbs that they never could've before. I want to slap the parents of all wangster kids I see walking around these days. Jeez, I must be getting old. I'll quick ranting but I'm tired of living near this city that has gone so far down the tubes. And Granholm sucks big time. She has done very little good and a heck of harm.
 
Maybe you could all move back into Detroit and vote in some sensible people to run it.:laugh: :laugh::laugh: I remember as a kid going up to Hudsons in downtown with my grand mother, it surely is different now. I've been down to baggeds' shop on Jefferson by Ft.Wayne a few times and I think Petes' description fits that part of town very accurately.
 
Looks like the underwear is getting cleaned a bit with "somebody by the name of Monica Conyers" going away or alteast out of city council's hair, so now lets move forward with a the Cobo expansion, the new Joe and turning the old Joe into an aquarium!

Anybody ever seen that clip on Youtube with that school girl discussing some issue with Ms. Conyers disrupting a city council meeting? It's absolutely ridiculous how thick-headed this lady is.

I'll have to dig out that clip tonight.
