Sadly a car that we'll never see in America. All we have with that nice 2.5 is the Volvo C30 which was a big let down.
I agree with you here. It's almost pathetic how little the car designs have changed in 20 years. Both hatches yes, but the rooflines to me are almost identical. Sort of like a cross between a CRX and a Caliber SRT4.
well, if it's using the 2.5 5 cyl, then it'll most likelt be making right about 300hp, just like the SR and VR volvo's.
and i don't get all this about exchange rates. ok, so they won't bring the car over here, cause it would cost 50k...so wtf are people over in europe willing to pay 50k for a focus for? is the average european rich?

that's cool and all, but now that there's talks of the C30R (350hp, AWD) i'm not so excited about the focus.
The ONLY car that Ford cares about making gutsy AND attractive is the Mustang. It seems at this point, they've completely given up on the U.S. performance compact market... and who can blame them given their most recent epic failure? In 05 they offer a 2.3l NA Focus with 151/154 and actually expect people to buy it over an only slightly more expensive SRT-4 @ 230/250 or Cobalt SS @205/200? Hell, even the SE-R Spec V had it by like 25hp & tq and sold for the same price... but the ST DID have traction control standard. Whoop-dee-f*ckin-do. An LSD was not an option, but you could get a CD changer! They wouldn't be able to keep them in stock if they made them gutsy and attractive enough.
Don't kid yourself, they probably just took a reverse photo of a right-drive one.Looks like its left hand drive so maybe there's a chance it'll make it to the US.
