It seems i can either get Hawk HTP performance street pads and EBC Redstuff for about the same price. So which should i get?

I've never heard of the Hawk pads, and head nothing but good stuff about the EBC red stuff. so i'm all for the red stuff.

The red stuff is more comparable to hawk hp+. Green stuff is comparable to the hps pads. I would only get the hp+ or red stuff if your never going to see temperatures below 40. Their operating range isn't too high, but it can make for some scary first stops.

I have the Red Stuff pads on my SVT. I have no problems with them. there have only been 1 or 2 instances where i was concerned but i just stepped on the pedal harder and they warmed up quickly and stopped fine, even in the colder weather we are having here (below 40 for most of the past 2 weeks.)

i didnt have any problems with them when the arctic chill came through and we were near zero for several days.

I had hawk pads on my escort gt. They worked great though very loud almost all the time. My brakes over powered my regular street tires' traction.
I've got carbotech on the svt. They are pretty darn amazing. Not loud like the hawks, just some occasional noise. Though they're a good bit pricier than hawks or ebc. I've heard some good things about ebc but I've also heard horror stories.

Harry- Shipping was free threw autoaccessoriesgarage.com the pads were just over 78 bucks

I did here that EBC was recently bought and is under new owner ship. don't know when that happened but apparently quality has gone up since.
