First off, i'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread but here goes nothing...
I recently noticed that the outer boot on my left(driver side) halfshaft is all twisted and ruptured...possibly due to a recent e-brake 360 slide:blackeye: ....also my ABS light is on, but i can't remmber if it was on before the 360 or not...this may also be the cause of some slight vibation issues, i'm not sure.:help:
my main quesiton is; assuming that the 360 is the cause of the twisting of the boot, would it be advisable to simply replace the boot, or is the shaft likely damaged also?
in the past i have always just replaced the shaft but the price difference between the boot and whole shaft is making me reconsider!
Also, if the 360 also caused the ABS prob what can i do about that? if there are no ABS parts damaged can i reset the ABS or does that rquire a diagnostic tool?
vibration: there is a slight vibration while driving felt in the steering wheel, it goes away when the wheel is turned to the right, thus why i think it may be caused by the shaft, am i right about that?
