Anyone else realize we don't need those stupid things anymore? Effective August 1st, 2010, CT is done with windshield registration stickers. It's all electronically linked now, so all registration can be checked instantly from a cop car. No new stickers will be issued and you can peel off existing stickers if you want.

I hated when we switched from the little license plate stickers to windshield stickers a few years ago. Now we don't need any at all. :cool:
 
Lucky you. MA has those tiny little two-digit stickers that say what year your registration is good through that you put on your rear plate.
 
I liked the stickers you put on the license plate. You could just put the new ones on top of the old ones. My brother tranfered the plates from my grandfather after he passed away. The plate was automatically sent when CT went to a 5 digit plate, 2 letters, dash, 3 numbers. Long enough ago that the plate had about 1/4 inch of stickers on the bottom corner.
 
i find it amusing when you see a MA plate that someone has had for a long time and you cna tell they dont understand simple concepts...
they have 20 stickers covering almost every part of the plate. kind of like they realize the new sticker will stick to the old one.
 
I re registered my car in August. They sent me another window sticker. I had heard about the elimination of the stickers. But I guess i was on the bubble of not getting it
