Could we be any more pathetic or apathetic??

I scroll down a few times a day to see what going on but there isnt anything new. In fact the only thing even remotely interesting is a friend of mine saw another green SVT up in Keller and got all excited because when I first got the car he didnt think the SVT Contour was a real thing.

Look at all branches and the number of threads and posts for each. We are almost dead last but Texas alone is #2 in population. Then add the other 5 states making up South Central branch and doesn't make sense.

The state with population #1 is California. Ironically their threads and posts are almost as low as ours.

It is weird to see California not leading the forum but then again this isnt a Mazda. On mx6.com the cali guys made up probably 50% of the activity and they were the ones making fun of the north east and michigan. :)

If you've ever lived in the Great Lakes region, you would understand why the regional activity is the way it is. In my 60 mile commute to and back from school everyday, I would often see upwards of 2/3 CSVTs and an abundant CDW27s. It would be a rare day NOT to see a CSVT.

In the year I've been in Lubbock, I've seen only one CSVT (on one occurrence), a silfro, and it looked beat to piss. The only two nearby CEG'ers I am aware of is Cuda up in Amarillo and some guy in Lubbock that sold his contour a few years ago.

Yeah it's true the South Central Posts don't get much attention, I know i'm not much help.

Maybe it'll pick up soon. Don't see many CSVT's around, until recently. Just saw a Black one leaving work yesterday, and a Blue one on my to work this morning.

Same here. I would like to see some kind of get together of some sort. Maybe a mini meet in D/FW or something.
I'd be up for anything pretty much anywhere within a 4 hour or so driving radius.

There have been a few attempts at get-togethers, but nothing in recent memory. A quick dinner meet about four years ago just outside New Braunfels is the only thing that immediately comes to mind. I met TXRealtor, Ray and Jenna, and (I believe) Hydramatic for some catfish. Damn good eating!

Beyond that, it's mostly been meeting up with members to buy parts. Though last summer Cuda came to town and we did our infamous engine-pull-MTX-swap-reinstall-and-two-full-suspension-swaps-in-three-days marathon!

It would be fun to have a wrench-in weekend too. Several people pitching in to complete multimple projects on our cars. Could be quite entertaining.

Its always fun to see people working on a car like a pit crew instead of just working slow with a beer yourself.

don't start. :p
We have the same problem every region has. Everyone wants to have a meet, but no one will step up and say "here's what we're doing, be at this address at this date/time, if you're not there then tough titties"
:D

I'm considering doing exactly that. Just have to find the time. I have to start preparing the bike for Sturgis, and getting a trailer built for it too. It's hard to find time when I'm only home 5 days out of every 3 weeks.

Last year we had a Houston meet and drive to Galveston planned. Then Hurricane Ike hit and killed it.

Before the end of this summer we definitely need to make something happen.
