coolant tank! help!!!

i have a 98 csvt and it`s got about a hundred thousand on the motor the car has ran perfecty fine.
no complaints here until yesterday my collant tank started to leak any suggestions?
 
im not sure if it is coming out of the cao but it was wet after i drie everything off the first time to see where it was leaking from.
i know it`s deffinently leaking from not the hose it`s self but from where the hose fits in to the tank! i tried repairing it didn`t work to well !!!
i know i will probably have to buy a new tank but i was just curiouse if there was a fix !
 
Remove the hose. Check if the plastic male end from the reservoir is cracked. If it is, then you need a new reservoir (coolant tank). If the hose is cracked, you need a new hose.

If no to the both, then try using a new "worm clamp". Maybe the old spring lock clamp has lost it "spring".

Is it overflowing due to overheating due to a waterpump plastic impeller failure?

If the engine is overheating (temp gauge high and boiling over) but the heater blows cold air, it is most likely a water pump. If the heater is hot it is most likely a stuck shut thermostat.
 
i checked the hoses and clamps this morning.
took out the coolant tank and it IS cracked at the male end.
so i went to the junk yard earlyer today and got another coolant tank
sems to be just fine now.
just wanted to say thanks for all the help very much appreciated!!!

DAM!!! well it was deffinently my water pump!

i got the new coolant tank put it in and i was driving to simi and it started to over heat and my coolant was leaking out of the cap!!!
so i`ll be getting a water pump!!!
 
You shouldn't even be driving the car is that's the case. How long have you been driving around with this leak?

What's the temp gauge showing when this happens?
 
i know i shouldn`t be driving it but heres what happened when i first bought the car it didn`t leak them it started to leak after putting about a thousand miles on the car so seeing how coolant is so fu*kn expensive i just put water in and when i was on the free way the heater was blowing fire it was so hott when i put my hand infront of it it burned my hand and usally the heater wouldn`t even blow hott air at all until i get on the free way !!! and i need to replace the sending unit for the temp gauge!
i didn`t blow a head gasket i know that for a fact but the car shut off whatever that means it runs perfectly fine still but it keeps doin it so im guessing it`s the water pump ???????

and i have only been driving around the car for about three days but i constanly fill the coolant tank when my collant light comes on so i have been staying on top of it !
but im just not sure weither it`s the water pump

my car does this but only if i sit still for a long time, my electric fans are to blame for this, good news for me though is i ONLY drive on the freeway, a good way to tell if its the pump is to start the car and let it get warm(not HOT but warm) and squeeze the hose thats coming off the WP and if you can feel coolant then you pump is working

anyone correct me if im wrong

it doesn`t seem to give me a problem.
but i think my impellar in the water pump is fu**ed

the plastic empellar failed :-(
so i will be ordering a new water pump been up since 530 this morning messin with the water pump took it off thanks to the explicit info i get from someone`s thread and now all i need to do i get the new one and put it on i also this im going to be putting back on the lower radiator deflector!
