Yes im already aware of the old threads of contours in movies and tv shows.On discovery channel, their new show Smash Lab, they were testing on how to lesser the impact of car accidents by altering the road. Well in their first test of cars crashing together, in the front row there was a green pre-98 contour. Anyone else see this show, or anything else with contours in it that is recent?
 
I love my Csvt, but there should be a line where people stop loving contours so much. I mean come on, they are a common car and to talk about seeing a contour in the media is rediculous. If it was a CSVT that's one thing, but its not. It's not like we drive Ferrari's.
 
In Arlington Street.. there's a 10 minute race seen with a contour.

My brother thought I was insane when I noticed that 5 minutes into the scene, it changed from a pre-98 to an older one spontaneously :crazy:

I have to agree, IMO it's really not worth mentioning seeing a contour unless it's an SVT... i'm sure people may not like that answer but IMO, that's just how i feel. regulare contours are kinda boring, and as you said all-too-common. but CSVT's are kind of a rare find, so IMO it's not worth mentioning unless it's an SVT :eek:

I laughed at the secret location thing as well. The plaque is real secret! They didn't check crap on all 400 cars anyways. And so what if the engine doesn't match? I don't know if I ever owned a SVT that had the original motor, let alone a 2.5. :laugh: And none of my cars were stolen. :shrug:

IMO, this is a CONTOUR enthusiast fourm.. Not only CSVT's... If you dont care about it.. then you dont need to write that you dont care about it... As discussed in another tread, some people just need things to talk about... And some of us think its kinda neat seeing our cars shown in the media.. IMO:shrug:

I'm perfectly aware this is a CONTOUR enthusiast sight, not only for SVT's. my oppinion was, and IS i don't see the point in picking out a regular stock contour... that's MY oppinion, and i'll write about it if i please, just as you're writing about getting butt hurt over my oppinion. It's fine if you start a thread and post pictures of regular stock contours, i never said that you shouldn't or cant. All i said is, i don't see the point, as it's such a common car, theres really nothing unique about a stock SE, but thats MY oppinion, i'm not trying to take away from your right to post whatever you want, i just think it's kind of redundant! :rolleyes:
 
anyone actually planning on posting PICS or VIDS in this thread, or should we just merge it with an existing "contours in the media" discussion thread? :shrug:

wat would they do if someone with a csvt with a 3L and turbo showed up??? expect it do be stolen cause none of the numbers match up or something. thats a stupid concept on whether the motor is stolen or not

LOL! I saw that too!!! My g/f rolled her eyes when I told her that car was there... :D

Wait let us po po get our magic list of engine vins which are stolen because some of these 16 years olds might steal engines.... oh wait, but if they have a receipt... then what do we do... errr.... durrrrr....... I love that in the video, don't they state that it's dangerous because they upgrade there cars for more power... then they show a car with like an intake and some plug wires.... oooOOo that's a huge horsepower gain there... damn get all these cars off the streets, they upgraded their intakes.... LoL. The video I like the most is the huge street race that gets blocked off by the po po for like at least 5 hours, then some guys get in a line and rush the curb and blaze on out of there... :D Love that vid!

Lol. I noticed that too. I said something during the movie, but everybody that I was with just looked at me like I was a retard.:crazy: I watched "The Siege" last night and there is a chase scene with a pre-98 SE it's pretty cool.

there are actually 2 contours in I Am Legend.
the other one is visible during a flashback of the evacuation.
