Contour/Mondeo Race car clone??

Chavs and Pikeys are the two main 'breeds' that make this country the s*it hole it has become.

And LOL@ the wiki description, ' known as charvers in the north east of england ', im from the north east of england, and we have dropped charver, its just plain old chav like it is through out the rest of england.

Hey we got those here too...we call em teenagers! Dont get me wrong, I am 34 but I swear that my generation and the next will be the death of this country. Not ALL but alot. Seems like where ever I work people a little younger than me ( 18-30) are just plain lazy. Is it tecnology making us this way? I aint no work horse but damn....pull your weight! people dont want computers to take over the workforce, well then earn your money I say. Sorry for getting off subject, well not really this thread kinda left the topic pages ago but...hahahahaha

:cool:cool stuff but I have a dumb:confused: question way do they have Zetec on the bumper when they are running Duratec under the hood (bonnet)

Very good question. probably just to advertise the zetec brand, as back then, and for many years, ford used the zetec motor in EVERYTHING, they must have made a gazzillion zetec engines over the years, but to be fair, they are bullett proof, ive had two zetec engined mondys, and a zetec engined escort gti, gave them constant abuse, and they never missed a beat, one of the best engine ford ever made imho.

Sweet videos...learned something new too. I THOUGHT all Mondeo's were RHD....guess not. man i wish I could afford a RHD mondeo Dash to be shipped here and make a RHD 'tour. ahh well.

It is more than the dash you would need to change. Steering rack too.

Also. IDK if you have ever driven a right hand drive car in the US, but after the novelty of it wears off (usually within a few minutes), you will find that right hand drive is the dumbest thing to have in the US. It will be a source of never ending headaches, and not just in the ways you would think. Let's just say that passing on the highway is like playing Russian roulette, and you will get pulled over fairly regularly because of "good citizens" who call about a driverless car.

According to every other post on the BTCC cars, Zetec is supposedly a trim level and not an engine type, in this case.
Karl

ford started using zetec engines in 1992 in the UK, the first car that sold as 'zetec' as a trim level was the mondeo zetec in 1998. so the BTCC with zetec livery could really be advertising the trim level, and/or engines. you can still get mondeo zetec's now in MK4 mondeo form, even though all MK4 mondeos use duratec petrol engines, or duratorque deisel engines.

Agree, a freind of mine over here has a trans-am, ive driven it a few times, there are lot of reasons why driving an opposite hand drive car can be problematic, as said, motorway/highway driving isnt good, plus overtaking on single lane carrageways becomes very interesting.

My 1993 Mondeo BTCC lookalike, in use at a sprint meet at Curborough last July:-

if you search for "fiberglass" and look at the most recent threads, you will see that I've been campaigning for somebody to make some high arch wide body fenders and a knock off of the prodrive splitter for the SE bumper, like seen on the last rework of the Rapid fit cars. I really like how those came out, much more agressive than a run of the mill SVT if you ask me.

I'd like to put those parts with some SE side skirts and a slightly reworked razzi rear bumper on my car, something a little different...

yeah, I thought this thread was worth a resurrection since I'd never noticed it, and I really wish someone would make us some fenders and a splitter like on the rapid fit cars...

also BTCC Mondeo > Mirko Contour
