Have anyone ever tried putting in a RPM tach for a NON RPM contour? or taking out the original gauge cluster and put another one in that has RPM?

He is taking out the original cluster that did NOT have the tach and replacing it with one that DOES.

Exactly that's what I meant. So have anyone tried it or think it will work?

A few people have and yes it does work. I think someone has a thread about it going on right now. Actually got mixed up and thought this was the thread! :blackeye::laugh: You just have to match up your "generation" car and engine to the cluster your going to swap in. Apparently 95's go with 95's. 96-98.5 goes with likewise and 98.5+ go with same.
