Contour in Big Bend Open Road Race

Yeah, Rob has totally different gearing so the effect the FD has on the gearing is different then to what everyone else has with thier stock trans.

Well, if you mean a full 3L with 3L cams, then yeah maybe the Zetec one would be better. IMO, any 3L with SVT cams the shorter/stock FD would be better, especially on a road course. The Zetec is better for top speed (If you have enough power) and/or fuel economy... Stock FD is better for accleration. Of course, once you start going FI, then the Zetec FD would be better to handle and put down the power.

IIRC, I'm pretty sure there are 2 kinds of euro gearsets.. one has the shorter 4th and 5th and one has longer gearing.

yeah, I wonder how much the one with the close 4th and 5th and also the 3.5 FD would cost to just have imported pre-built OEM. then it would just need a T-2 diff and it'd be the bees knees for the 05 3.0 cams.

pretty sure that combination could top 160 with a little bit of spray...
