It's very own tire fire!

Today, 100,000 gallons of diesel, along with propane and gasoline were lit on fire by the explosion of a propane tank at M&J Junkyard. The explosion also lit off thousands or tires, filling the air in the area with black smoke. I'll have my own pics in a bit. For now, here's the link...

Sweet, huh?

I was having a discussion with one of my freinds, and was talking about "what if that was a burnout?" My buddies all determined that I would rool around in the rubber until I passed out:laugh:

I'd like to know where they came up with the 100,000 gallons of fuel part. I worked at a junk yard before and we had to remove all the tanks from the cars and then drain them into a larger tank (probably 500 gals). Even if it was still in the cars in the yard that would have to be a really lot of cars. Average 15 gal/car would be 6666 cars and trucks.

1. Thats possible (I think)
2. My Dad seems to think that it was the fuel tank for the busses. M&J is also a bus company with their own on-site fuel station
