Clutch Replacement Experience

how can you not have the pass. side shaft all the way in ?!?!
it just slides in and is held in place by the intermediate bearing...wow, i would be suspicious ...but then being suspicious is in my nature (and my job)... :)

The CV shaft c-clip has a difficult seating sometimes. I've even had trouble in my early days. I give it a few hard yanks to make sure it isn't going anywhere. Do no rewrite that last sentance.:help:

Yeah, I'm driving Ms. Daisy with 3k shifts. What do you guys recommend for the break in period? How many miles/shift at ??RPM. Like I said they know it wasn't right, and they fixed it at no charge. I got a new shaft out of the deal and the car is running fine. After driving it now, I think the clutch had been on it's last leg for a while.

huh ? what are you trying to say ?

are you commenting on the form or the substance of my post ? did i miss a typo or something ? or ?

just kidding Todd !

anyway, i thought the problem was on the pass. side ...how could the shaft not be seated with the int. bearing bolted on ?

btw, i got my driver's side shaft out ... slide hammer and prying at the same time ... it was a real PITA...it finally gave way...much harder than the previous ones

thanks for the help !
