I also did some custom stereo in the rear deck. I had to make the existing hole larger and cut a whole new one for the other speaker. Found both the infinity speakers at the junk yard along with the speaker grills, which I painted body color.

That is all. I'll update more when I get the other stuff on!

I think it was repainted before I got it. But there really is no point of repainting. Its got over 150,000. I can just make it look as good as possible.

how'd you wire the speakers?
did you run the rear door speaker wires back there.
i wanna do the same. i have some nice pioneer 6x9's that would sound good back there!!
thx

Yea, I used heavy gauge lamp cord and ran it under the plastic along the doors. Just cut the rear door wires and soldered these in place. Sounds so much better. I cant have no speaker grill there because I had to cut a hole in the back fabric for the speakers to fit under. I dont think its that big of a deal, looks better than 2 open speakers just chillin there... My pioneer 4 ways in the front and these in back sounds nice. I want subs, but I thats for another time.

or I could use the grills I got for free and not spend the money I dont have to buy a new cloth deck lid. I don't think people are going to walk up and say "hey, your speakers grills arent centered, your cars sucks". Its not gunna make that much of a difference.

I like the fact he went to the junkyard and found the speakers, You need to go tell that other guy with the Stique, how to get mod parts from the junkyard when cash is a major issue.

$10 for too pioneers in perfect shape. Can't beat it. And the guy at the check out said "just take those" when I put the grills on the counter. Nice guy
