When checking spark on '95 mystique v6, removing spark plug wires while running, noticed that hardly any plug wire removal affected idle much. ??

anyway, if i removed one plug wire, it made it more noticeable when removing and replacing another one. that is, with one plug disconnected it was easier to tell what was going on when another plug was disconnected

At idle its hard to tell when one plug wire is off. You need ot really listen to hear it. If you would take the car for a drive with only 5 cylinders firing, you'll feel it for sure.

Also are you saying that you are changing the plug wires while the engine is running?

hopefully not.. or not while the engine is warm either!

warm aluminum is soft.. and the threads can/will strip easily!

no not changing spark plugs while engine running!!! interesting idea though.

thanks for the info on not making much difference at idle
