I know a couple people have had similar problems with the charging system light flashing in the upper RPM's and it hasnt seemed to affect performance or reliability. From what I've read, nobody has been able to pinpoint the problem.

Also when replacing ALWAYS replace with a Ford OEM..I went threw like 2 Advanced ATL in 2 days..OE FTW.

I had the same issue with the battary light flashing n the upper RPM's, and then pof, I day the alternator quit on me, good thing I was in my area though, so I mangaed to get it home, so if I was u, I'd hurry up and do the alternator

Is not easliy amused.
My black SVT did this for a few months, then gradually did it at lower RPM's. Eventually it became a constant light and quickly raped my battery.
I'd suggest changing your Alt now instead of waiting and getting stranded on the side of the highway.
