CEL - Compensation Code?

I've had the CEL checked out by a repair shop. They said it was reading occasionaly high fuel mixture but not consistently high. He called it a compensation code. Could not find a resolution to what is causing a periodic high fuel mix. No leaks detected in fuel line, new pressure regulator installed 3k miles ago, and fuel pump operates correctly.
Seeking any other possbile causes or fixes. I'll try to get the exact code and reply back.

Please get the code because that made zero sense to me. And take it some place where they wont charge you.

time for a new O2 sensor ...
 
I do not know if it matters, but the CEL has been going on and off for about 4 months and the tech said that was the only code in memory.

Can a bad sensor occasionaly read correctly... as in when the CEL is off for a week at a time?

classic bad O2 Sensor symptoms, whenever one fails its usually intermittent, then it just flat out fails.

The sensors get clogged up and start acting goofy, new one can be found on rockauto.com for fairly inexpensive.

Get that 02 replaced!
 
Sensor replaced the next day. PCM also reset. CEL has been off since.

Car is also sold as of today to a young college student. Will pass this site on to him. It has been extremely useful!!

Its time for me to buy a baby wagon! Probably the grand caravan (used)
