Carlisle 2010 discussion

how is the campground about guests hanging out at the site with you?
Are they required to pay a fee to hang out or park?

I'm a Pirate, screw the fees. :shoot::shoot:

Actually, they never said anything before, but you may need to leave car at entrance, not tons of parking room next to site. But for a few hours or so, you'd be fine. There's also a pavillion we could comandeer.

I'll be registering within the next two weeks or so. I'll be looking at hotels and whatnot. Has anyone booked yet? I'd like to maybe stay with a few CEG'rs. It was fun last time I went.

EDIT: I was looking on the register online area for the AFN, and there's a registration for "Young Guns" part.

I know there's always that "hassle" of keeping the SVTs/Non-SVTs together. I also read that the "young guns" will be in their own section. Does anyone know if I were to register in that one, would it then separate me from the rest? Or should I just do the regular showfield portion and just have fun?

If you have a Contour, non-SVT or SVT, you must register under Contour Enthusiasts Group to be placed with the rest of CEG...additionally, registering with our club gives us credit towards the tent...remember, we need 25 registered members to get it free this year.

Just booked a room. I didn't want to wait any longer. Already a bunch of hotels I was looking at are booked solid (or ridiculously expensive).

We'll be at the Super 8 Carlisle South off I-81.
We have an extra bed available if anyone else has a hard time booking a room.

I figured at this point, there's no use trying to stay at the same hotel as everyone else, especially since it seems mostly locals will be attending this year.
So wherever the gang is hanging out Saturday night, we'll just drive there to meet up.

Looking forward to this.

I know it's been mentioned before in this thread, but I want to bring it up again. I'm looking into hotels for AFN, and it would be nice if I could get a hotel where other CEG'rs are going to be at as well. I know Kim is staying at Super 8. I've looked into there as well. Is anyone else staying elsewhere?

So, I talked with dad and he just found out that the Annual Riverfront Camaro show is the weekend of AFN. Therefore he will not be going. YAY! I'll be on this one by myself. With that being said, does anyone who is going already have a hotel room and need an extra person? I'll split costs with you or whatever. Hell, I sleep on the floor. I only need it to crash and shower.

Let me know, or i'll keep my eye out on this thread

As of right now, we have an extra bed available in our hotel room.

Feel like letting a deaf 19 yr-old crash there? I'll treat you out to dinner:crazy:..better yet, I'll buy you one of them Ham and Swiss cheese sandwiches from that deli place at the fairgrounds:drool:

well be there again not showing my car but it should be down there if we dont take the bikes.. going down friday morning and then to the show saturday..

I'll be there sometime in the afternoon Friday. I get off work around 9 AM or so. It's a ~3 hr. drive for me.

Anyone from PGH that is heading out, I'm taking Friday off, any wanting to have a Pirate escort, let me know.

I'd be interested in having an escort. But I'm not getting off my route. Meet somewhere before the turnpike? LOL I'll be riding up 202->100->30 to the turnpike.

On another note: I noticed when registering, theres stock(3 or less mods) and modified(4 or more). What is the "general consenus" for the difference. performance/trans work/ wheels and tires/paint? Do the little details count? i.e: mesh changes, reflector painted. etc.

I'm running: 3L, torsen, Opt'd TB, headers(does this count along with 3L?). and stazi mesh. I'll probably go stock anyways. Not like I'm going to win or anything.
