I'm looking for a shop that will get my 00SVT ready for Carlisle next year. Any good suggestions. I'm looking to do a reliable 3 Liter Turbo project. Now I also have a 04 stock STI and I would like the Contour SVT to handle and drive as good if not better than it, if it's possable. I would like to start this project soon since I already bought some parts for the SVT. Koni fully adjustable suspension kit, all new bushings, Mirko splitter, PIAA 510 Fog lights. I was thinking of XX Tuning in East Hartford, Ct only because I see some of there cars at Pocono when I race my STI. But I don't know if they will work on it since they mainly do imports. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nice, you're getting ready for Carlisle 07.
Can't help you much with the shop though. EDIT: Actually, there is a shop in Bangor, PA that worked on Checker'd SVT's car, he was good. Kinda far for you but I can get you the info. if you'd like.

Make sure to post when you are heading to Pocono. I'm a bit over an hour away and may come up to watch.

Post some shots of your rides.

If it's no trouble getting the info I'll take a look at it. I think the season is over for racing at Pocono but I'll definatly be going next season. I'll let you know. Thanks for the reply.

It's no trouble at all.
I asked Checker'd to get it for me and will pass it on when I receive it.

When you have the next Pocono schedule hit me with a few dates and I'll head up.

Edit: Here you go:

Werner Transmissions
259 E Central Ave.
East Bangor, PA 18013

Nice guy, did a good job on Brian's car.

This place looks good I wonder how far it is from Bergen county NJ. I think I'll be giving them a call. Thanks a lot.

Be prepared to pay...

I had my work done by 422 Motorsports in Oaks, PA. I NEVER had an issue with the engine, only everything that was attached to it.

Two other good shops are Prestons Garage in Hulmeville, PA and Hank and Sons in Feasterville-Trevose, PA.

An excellent transmission shop is AC Transmission down the street from Prestons Garage. Al at AC Transmission pulled Terri's ATX out of her SHO, rebuilt it and put it back in for $800.

FYI, you won't find a better mechanic than Dave Preston at Prestons or Lou at Hank and Sons.

My guys will take care of you but it WILL be expensive.

I'd rather pay more for perfection rather than pay less and have parts break. Thanks for the info I'll definatly check them out.
