i like the cowl functionality wise but not aestetically. i think poncho has a oem style actually as well. id like to see the wiper version. i'm down for something subtle.

Adapting the 2000 Mustang Cobra R power dome to the contour hood would work for the stock body lines and keep the SVT theme.
I've mentioned that before and I have a broken Cobra R hood to adapt to a contour stock hood one of these days.
That cowl hood and that weird non-functional heat-extrator bump has never done it for me, strange looking IMO. Should have just made it a smooth cowl hood.
I would be interested if someone were to do this.

I'm with you on this one !

Lot of people have gotten his hoods, I have heard no complaints about quality.

RE-read what I said man. I said SINCE he wants to go so cheap WHAT IF he uses cheaper components. I'm not saying what he has made in the past is cheap I am talking about what he WILL make for us in the future at such a good price.

I don't think he will be making these "from cheaper material" I think he's willing to do this because he would still be benefitted from the sales that we would consume..... I mean how many hoods do you think he has sold for the CSVT at normal price? Not to many I'm willing to bet! Pretty sure that if this GB does come through you will receive a great looking hood at a good price........ That's what I like about group buys cuz your buying so many I feel like everyone gets a deal out of it. That's just my OP  also I'm sure we would be making payment via paypal so if not satisfied you can work something out with him or using paypal.....

excellent. GB are good for us all. Besides if we do a group buy on here that's pretty much everyone in the country that has a svt haha.

... and some of us that dont...

on a weird note, how hard is it to return a painted carbon hood to clear?

shouldn't be to hard. depending on what kind of paint was used. problem is being careful not to go through the paint you want off and through the clear over the carbon. I would start with light sanding like 700-1000 grit. Maybe even wet. But don't do what I say just yet. Put up some pics if you can.

I dont have one yet, but if I can find out if they ever made the "smoothy" oem style cowl hood, I would get it and paint it body color until I get tired of the sleeper thing.

I was just wondering if you can go back...

Tax return is getting closer...let's keep the interest alive!! Ill be starting a list here in a couple weeks we need a certain number of people to get a good discount so chime in
