Can I ask y'all a Favor???

Exactly. There's something about not having longer, flowing lines that kills a "simple" color like that... it looks disjointed, IMO. But hey, if you like it, go for it. :)

Fab the SVT front end and the SAP rear end to that bad boy, with the side skirts off of the SVT 5-door, and you're good to go. They'd rock with those wheels and headlights!
If i had the money, I would. I'll probably stick to the FocusSport front lip. I really like this rear bumper as-is any way.
I'm not a fan of the matte black look on a car that... square. It's not sleek enough to pull that look off, IMO.

I've really started to like the Focus in the last few years. I've toyed with an SVT for a winter car once my car is paid off.
I agree, but matte black would probably look kinda cool, IMO.

I think Brad's obsessed w/ flat black:laugh:

if someone says something offensive to you or you feel that they're 'trolling', you don't have to respond.

people talk about old ceg vs now in terms of civility, but my pov is that you've always had to have thick skin to hang out on any car forum, including the ceg.

the difference now is all the newbs whom get all frantic and pissy because someone on the internet doesn't like their car or what they have to say. who gives a crap.

Regarding the car -- it's a stock focus st, you don't really need a photoshop because there's nothing distinct about it yet. If I were you, I'd look here for examples of dropped 2005+ focuses with rims:

You make a good point, both of them, actually.

But my thing with the PS is that I wanted to see the specific wheels.

Wow, I go to work and everything goes south.

Cobrawannabe, I said what I said because someone on the Focus boards would probably already have a pic of a dropped ST, then somebody would just have to chop the wheels on. Or alternatively, as suggested above, cardomain. I don't have a lot of experience with photoshop, but I do know that the less work you make other people do (one task instead of two), the easier it is for them.

Furthermore, there were NO EGL'rs. Todd=WGL, Ron=WGL, Me=who the hell knows (SC now, WGL next week, EGL next month...) If I'm the certain person from Michigan who you think you're having problems with, apparently you don't understand my SN.

Desiato makes an EXCELLENT point. If it's too hot in the kitchen, GTFO, otherwise man-up. People can say whatever they want about me, it doesn't bother me. That comes with graduating HS...

FWIW, I like the look a lot. What makes the ST different from a normal Focus?

why would you spend all that money to get wheels that are factory size? doesnt make any sense... Save your money get bigger wheels and tires then save the factory wheels for winters.

Nah, it had nothing to do with the current thread, really. I was thinking it was past problems just coming up again, that's all. I just won;t say anything about it until it's actually called out upon me from now on... I've been pretty jumpy on here lately, I'm not normally like this:blackeye:

The ST is basically a newer, less powerful SVT. All the SVT parts were carried over suspension wise, the 2.3 recieved small changes (air box, exhaust... makes beautiful noises:drool:), the interior was massaged a bit, and the exterior got it's badging and wheels; along with a miniscule drop. Thanks!

Jared, if you had read a bit more (:P), you'd have seen that my link was a mistake. I'm going with 17s.

Because they're not factory wheels, and he likes how they look, even if there's no size difference?

because he likes the look? because he doesn't want a harsher ride on low profile tires when and if its lower on a stiff suspension.

fyi my SVT has 16" aftermarket wheels. iirc it was in part to the fact they where installed with very low miles on the car so. why have to pay for new tires also when the stock ones are good. also it makes for a softer ride on longer distance trips. i know on my se with Bat Struts and Eibach that at time the ride can get annoying, especially in PA with the concrete highways and expansion grooves every 10 ft. I would imagine the SVT would be the same with 17" wheels. but on the stock size 16" wheel the ride isn't as harsh as it could be on ST200 struts and H&Rs.

just because everyone else upsizes doesn't mean he has to ....

yeah I read that after ... but still ....

Absolutely, that's why I'm not going over 17". I even think those are a bit much, but this car need a little bit less sidewall, and I don't think a 1" difference would be that big of a deal. I'm not a "big wheel" kinda guy. I really think anything over 17s on a car can be a bit much.
