Can anyone pull ABS codes?

I agree. I bet they make a killing on scanning CEL's and selling the needed parts. I guess maybe they figure they don't get enough people coming in w/ ABS lights to justify it:shrug:?

FWIW, Ebay's got one for $175.

if you just want your ABS code cleared my scanner can do that.. it would most likely come back later until you replace the sensor though.. (I did this for about 6 months on one of my SVT's with a cracked sensor)

pull the bulb or throw electrical tape over it as a fast fix if you just dont want to see the light.

I was able to clear the ABS code on my SVT for a small period of time... I can let you use it if you want to drive down here to pick it up.

I'll see what happens. I may pay to have the code pulled and find out what the dilly-yo is.

I work at a Ford Dealership. We have all-data. Just from experience, the ABS light is most likely a wheel speed sensor. Do you have the code and need to find out what it is? Or need to have it scanned?

yah my code reader told me which sensor was bad -- I dont think it was too crazily priced and took about 15 minutes to swap out..

my front left got damaged when we pulled the engine and disconnected that half shalf..

AZ can't do it...but they sell the scanner...i told them they're retarded for not opening one and offering the service to customers.

Good to know, I won't waste my time asking them!

I need to pass emissions in the next 30 days, i think ABS codes are an auto-fail....

Perhaps WI is different, but I just threw some elec tape over our lights, both the ABS and Brake light are on in the Windstar and it passed emissions. Since the ABS doesn't throw a CEL the emissions places don't detect those codes, or at least the ones here don't. Unfortunently the research I've done indicates I have more of a problem than just a sensor, module is shot:cry:
