cable question

While I was under the car doing a suspension install, I noticed where the end of the cable connects to the tranny has alot of play. A shaft sticking out of the tanny and the cable end around it. It looks as if there is supposed to be a bushing there to hold the cable on. I need some info on, is this how its made or not?

Same as mine. Very likely the same problem. Note that the cable end is still available from Bill Jenkins while other dealers said I would need to replace the entire cable. Also note that I thought I would have been better off changing just the bushing and Thinkmoto confirmed that worked for him.

That is exactly the problem. I tried the link to the Jenkins site but would not load. I wonder if other dealers would have it. Do happen to have the product #?
