bumbper molding

I'm assuming you mean molding a pre98 bumper to an SVT bumper. It requires cutting each in half and then fiberglass molding them together.
 
Here is an example of how you can do it (not sure if it is the correct way)

Yea pretty sure that is not the best way to go about it.

I seem to remember someone mentioning using a wire mesh on the backside in combination with some type of 3M product and then going across the front with a fiberglass filler to close off the small gap left on the front. That seems to be a more robust solution IMO.
