When breaking in reverse I often get a very loud squeaking noise. It seems to only come from the rear passenger side break. What could be the cause of this? Do I just need new break pads. I know close to nothing about breaks so please help me out

Its kinda normal for pads to drag a little, especially in reverse which isnt the normal rotation pattern. That being said, checking your pads and rotor is a good idea because the majority of us probably have zero noise.

Is this all the time when "BRAKING" (not "breaking"), in reverse, or just initially when first backing out from driveway, parking space, etc...

My brakes are fine, but will make a noise when backing out of the driveway after the car has sat for the day / overnight...

usually because of the pads sticking to the rotors after e-brake has been disengaged.
