I am wanting to upgrade all my brakes (4 wheel disk)on my 99 Contour SE...

I put ceramic pads on the front a few years ago, and now they are squealing like a pig when i drive. I also need to replace my rt rear caliper...so I am doing a total overhaul...

What brand names should I look into?

What brand names should I stay away from?

I want to get decent parts, for I am not into getting cheap junk parts that only last a year or two...

Also, should I purchase locally (autozone/NAPA etc) or internet?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

i bought both rear calipers from advanced auto a couple years ago. They supplied me rebuilt ford calipers too. As far as pads the BAT package is a good deal, but i'm running ebc red stuff on the fronts right now.

Thanks...and I presume that you are happy with the calipers.

What about rotors? Should I go with BAT on these?

Thinking about NAPA brake stuff...any thoughts on these from anyone?

napa stuff is alright better then autozone obviously but not as good as BAT's stuff, just stick with them and you should be fine, as far as the calipers go I would just get them from napa if BAT doesn't sell them.

yeah i've been pretty happy with the calipers. They have survived 2 trips to the dragon on US 129. I would probably buy rotors from BAT as well.
