In anticipation of doing Warmonger's big brake swap, I picked up some brake parts. I have a SE so I got a set of SVT caliper brackets from a fourm member and calipers from e-bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=230115715299)

The SVT brackets will not fit on the new calipers and the brackets that came with the new cailipers are the same size as the SVT's.

Can anyone identify the part # for the calipers?

F8RZ-2B120-BB & F8RZ-2B121-BB

Did I get a set SVT calipers and brackets?

Thanks in advance,

Pat

I don't know the part numbers but I may be able to help.

The early SVT (probably the E0 only) uses a different caliper and bracket that the late SVT.

The late SVT uses the same caliper as the non-SVT, but uses a bracket that is different from both the non-SVT and the early SVT.

Most V6 99 and newer Cougars used the same brakes as the late SVT.

See if your new brackets will work with your existing calipers.

I can get you the car quest part numbers for rotors and brake pads on a 1999 svt contour... I'd just have to call my bro up and have him look in my file cabinet at my parents...
