found it, but it seems to have been 2006 since anyone has posted on it, but i will break the norm to get it back up in the threads when i strip the one at my pick n pull.. hope its soon. maybe you(svttour) could bump it since you are a mod and people may start posting again. it is useful to prevent vin switching and just to keep track of how rare these are getting.

There are plenty more 3L contours hitting the streets with owners that don't like the stock 3L plastic water pump piece and want somthing like the OEM 2.5L one but with no writing......

If anybody is interested, one year for his birthday, I had parkedcar make a decal for SVTTOUR's blank IMRC cover.
The decal was the same size and type-font as the printing on the regular IMRC cover. Only difference was 2.5 was subsitted by 3.0

ok so you guys have me all messed up i just picked up a blank cover off a 96 24 valve contour today to take it home and find out it wont fit my 01 3 liter in my 99 svt it was a three bolt cover ..so my ? is what do i need to find a blank cover off of to fit my car it has the 99 svt valve cover on it i believe thanks chad

Do you have 3L valve covers or 2.5L valve covers? You need the 2.5L covers to use the IMRC cover from a Contour/Mystique/Cougar.

Anything 96+ will have the same 3 hole IMRC covers, so you probably have 3L valve covers on your motor.

Is the cover a 3 bolt or 4 bolt?
