I was thinking about this for quite some time as well, never needed to since my wheel is in great shape still.

I can't decide untill its in the car, so hop to it!
 
if you can find one of those nice blue ford logos to stick in the center of the steering wheel, I think it would look fine as is.
 
Well there are a billion types of soaps out there, that's why I asked. :P
You didn't specify if you used friggin Dove body soap or what.

Like car washing soap. I dunno. Nothing that should effect wheel cleaning. I think it was just worn and the cleaning uncovered it.
 
I piked up a black cougar wheel today at the junkyard. Thanks for posting todd, I would have never thought to grab it for my car. :cool:
 
I dyed my airbag today and installed mine. I freaking love having a steering wheel that's not a turd. Thanks again for posting pics todd!
