Battery relocation help

Well I already have my battery relocated in the trunk and secured to the spare tire mount. I am going to be building a sealed box out of wood for the battery this weekend between the spare tire mount and the rear of the trunk. What i am wondering is how I should secure the wood to the bottom of the spare tire well? I was thinking about removing the plastic panel on the bottom side under the car and drill some bolts through the sheet metal. Any ideas?

bolts through sheet metal thats what I did,and can I ask why u are using wood when you can get nice aluminum sheets??

Because my father owns a cabinet shop so its free and super easy. Also don't have a welder to make it look clean and wood will be much easier to wrap in carpet for a clean install.
