Auto Zone Intake

Thinking about putting a little money into a makeshift auto zone intake. What is required for this procedure? Any tips or comments would be appreciated. Also. Stay with some low $. Since i work at Farm and Fleet and make like a half a dollar an hour. Thanks in advance.:shrug:

First tell us what exactly are you expecting to see from modifying your intake.

Looking to replace the Box air filter with a Cone filter. Its a 2.5L non-svt. Trying not to replace the MAF adapter piece.

Just pick up a Fram Air Hog filter from Fleet Farm and find yourself an SVT Contour air box, done.

yeah don't bother doing it with cheap parts. I mean people do but you will be much happier if you save and then spend it on a good product. An SVT airbox and fender snorkle would work nicely and allow you to run a cone style filter and not get heat soak of an open element filter under the hood.
