Well about 2 months after spinning a rod bearing and fighting with my aftermarket warranty company... It is almost time...

Here is a preview..

I assume the new motor has been turned over a couple times and thats why the timing marks dont line up?

Did you triple check the pulsewheel?

I dont see anything wrong with the timing marks. assuming that you are looking at the yellow paint they are both 90degrees.

Timing marks on the cams should align with timing marks on the chain... looks like they are off a tooth on the left, you can see the yellow mark on the chain just peaking up from below the timing cover, while the cam mark is a spot above

I just caught that. I dont think it will be a problem. That motor came that way from the factory. Its a Ford reman.

I thought it had SVT cams put in her... or is this another 2.5?

Its fine if they dont line up, they will only line back up 1 in 50+ revolutions. But if they were just set and not turned over... then we'd have issue

I dont know if they moved it or not. Supposedly this reman has SVT cams in it but I wouldnt know without looking at the part number on the cams. I suggest that Brent look at the cam numbers before they install a supposed 2.5L SVT motor reman with regular cams.

FWIW the engine slides in easier with the crank pulley off.

It's not too bad with the stock pulley. It just gets pretty snug with the DMD! I still left my DMD on, but you do need to make sure not to hit the crank pulley when lowering the engine. Todd is right though; it does help to take the crank pulley off if you have a puller.

Reebs, I see you are posting in the pics and vids section, got any pics and/or vids of the new ride?

Disagree! ease is marginal at best. I hated having to instal mine while the motor was in the car from when we did my swap.

Put Rara's in with the DMD on and it was fine.
