I had some work done on my car in Plaistow, NH at Blinn's Auto Body. The bodywork & paint came out good.

Body Works, Unlimited in East Longmeadow, MA does some SICK work. They matched my paint PERFECTLY on my rear bumper a few years back. I've been thinking about speaking with them about hooking me up with some paint, but I'm not sure if they just sell the paint, though. It cost $475 for new rear bumper painted to match and installed.

Can you get me a quart of T-Red if at all possible? I'll pay you at Sturbridge! Pleeeaaaasssse??

You can buy it yourself online. Read my recent thread in General Discussions :D.

Besides, I don't know if I'm going to go to Sturbridge.

Looooooooooserrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I fart in your EXACT direction.

I don't hav a CC, and my parents don't buy stuff online. That's a no-go for me, there broski:cool:

Hey man, looks like your SOL . I can't currently afford to spot anyone money as of right now. Besides, what do you need a quart of paint for?

My front bumper is faded to the primer in one spot from salt, kamikaze bugs, and such. It's not bad, but it drives me nuts, and I want to clean the car up so it can sell quicker/ for more. That's why I'm so ademate about getting my lights cleaned, and I may make a grille.

Maybe not a quart. I think a 12 oz can can cover me:laugh:

Oh, any news on the grille you're working on/ Mesa intersted:cool:

I don't want to go through the hassle that I'm currently going through for my own grille .

And yes, you MIGHT be able to rattle-can the bumper and have it come out OK. Check for the paint code on your door and see if you can find it somewhere. I'd just be concerned about it being too dark. For reference you can search for a pic where AliasJoke posted a picture of his old SE in which he painted some plastic stuff on his trunk to match, but it didn't match...it was too dark.

Ya, I saw that. He kinda went hog-wild, too:laugh:. Actually, my rear bumper was re-painted awhile back when a friend of the family backed into it @ literally <5MPH with his subrban, and we had to get the trunklid replaced:shocked:. Body guy said he was shocked. The car was 10 years old, and the paint haden't faded at all. He sprayed with the factory color, and the match was spot-on! I can't rattle-can for ass, so I think I'll get a cheap gun:shrug:

All-righty then. My suggestion is to do what mystiquevltwin did, and just rattle can it. Check out his recent post in Pics&Vids. He got pretty spot on with it. Duplicolor from PepBoys.

With something small, you should be able to do it with a can of Duplicolor. Practice first on smaller stuff to get the technique. I've been painting cases for electronics, and they've come out fantastic. Sand with 150 then 400 for grip, 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of base color, and 2 coats of clear. Be careful because of the amount of pollen outside... you can get enough stuck to the paint over the course of 4-5 hours that it'll ruin the smoothness of the paint job.
