My 99 SeVT is an auto, and therefore the NPG kit wont fit, so i was thinking about doing a remote mount setup, probably putting the turbo in the same space as the stock muffler. Remote mount turbos aren't anything new, just wanted to see if anyone's done one on one of these cars.

I dont think a CD4E is strong enough to handle a turbo w/o modification.
you should be able to run a non-intercooled kit with the auto. it was an option for awhile anyway.
I would also agree that the atx isn't going to stand up to the power of a turbo setup.
And to answer the question, yes one person made a home made remote mount turbo setup. ran well from what I recall.
