amazon green vs tropic green

are they the same color just diff. names? i can't seem to find tropic green under ford on the paintscratch.com or similar sites.

Same colors. I think it depends on the year for which name Ford used.

IIRC Tropic green was the name given strictly to the SVTC while all non-SVTs were called amazon green. could be wrong though. :shrug:

Same color, I ordered paint as Amazon Green SU = Tropic Green SU. Paint codes my man, paint codes.

Indeed. It also went by model. You've got Windstars out there traversing the fruited plain slathered in Amazon Green. Mustangs, too. But Tauri are Tropic Green, just like the SVT Contour, and the two were produced in that color for some years concurrently. Same color, though, as has been pointed out -- color code SU.

You are. My SVT suppliment manual lists my color as Amazon Green.

Tropic Green was an option for the Cougar in 01 and 02.

Its equivalent in 99 and 00 was Dark Tourmaline Green.

they do that all the time. my "silver frost" svt has the same paint code as my friends "cd silver" svt focus.
