being sick might work for me, but the wife only gets 2 weeks off total between vaca and sick time, so that would mean a lost days pay.

not fun for 4 passengers, long distance.
Even going an hour sitting in the back is torture.

I know silly. I just had to laugh thinking of you sitting in the bed of the truck shivering cold. Reminds my of "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" with John Candy and Steve Martin.
It's about a 6.5 hour drive for me. I usually leave here Friday, and get there around 4 when everyone is leaving for the day. Then spend all day Saturday running around and hanging out, and leave Sunday around 3.
